Greetings Ramadan Mubarak from Tahfiz Darul Ulama!
In conjunction with this glorious Ramadan, we launched the Ramadan Waqf fund to continue collecting funds for the construction of the Darul Ulama Mosque which is 70% completed.
It coincides with the hadith of the Prophet SAW which states that God gives a great reward to those who build a mosque!
عن جابر بن عبدالله، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: من بنى مسجدا لله، كمفحص قطاة، أو أصغر، بنى الله له بيتا فى الجنة. {رواه الإمام ابن ماجه}
From Jabir bin Abdullah, indeed Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam said whoever builds a mosque because of Allah even if it is just like a bird’s nest or smaller then Allah will build for him a house in paradise.
How Will Your Ramadan Donations Be Used?
- Building Construction – Construction of a 2-level mosque complete with prayer hall, multi -purpose hall, toilets, parking space and so on. Now as 18 March 2023, the main mosque’s buildings are 70% finished
- Utilities – Utility costs such as electricity bills and water bills each month.
- Management – Maintenance and management services to facilitate operation and invigorate religious activities.

Alhamdulillah, syukur to Allah SWT. Tahfiz Darul Ulam has also broadcast on the program MALAYSIA HARI INI (MHI) published by TV3 Malaysia to announce the campaign and endowment for the construction of Masjid Darul Ulama.
Why Is Your Ramadan Donation Most Needed?
We are short of funds given the relatively large construction and development costs. Donations made so far have been relatively slow and due to COVID-19, many offline donation activities have had to be postponed. Currently, with the available funds, almost RM500,000 has been used for payment and land waqf arrangements and RM14,000 to build temporary roads and clean up the construction site area. We hope that it will not be delayed and that it will run smoothly.
Indeed, to realize this dream, we need support and financial assistance to cover the cost of development, rebuilding, and maintenance costs. InsyaAllah.
Target Donation
The targeted fund that is required for development and maintenance is RM1,500,000.00 (approx USD361,248.29 or SGD 486,279.27). The fund will be utilized mainly for building renovation, monthly utilities and management.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) would give charity throughout the year but increase his sadaqah during Ramadan. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “The Prophet (peace be upon him) was the most generous of people, and he was most generous during Ramadan” (Hadith, Bukhari).
